This Privacy Notice for Protora ("we," "us," or "our") describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your personal information when you use our services, including when you visit https://protora.app, download and use the Protora – Elite Performance Hub mobile application, or otherwise engage with us.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register, express interest in our products, participate in activities, or contact us. This includes: names, email addresses, usernames, passwords, fitness and health data (body weight, height, workout logs, nutrition logs), age and date of birth, profile photos, and training preferences and goals.
Sensitive Information. With your consent we process health data to provide personalised fitness analytics.
Payment Data. All payment data is handled by Apple Inc. and Google LLC. See Apple's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
Application Data. We may collect mobile device access data (camera), mobile device data (device ID, model, OS), and push notification data if you grant permission.
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your information to: facilitate account creation and authentication; deliver services; respond to user inquiries; send administrative information; fulfil and manage orders; enable user-to-user communications; request feedback; protect our Services; identify usage trends; save or protect vital interests; provide personalised fitness analytics; and manage subscriptions.
3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We rely on the following legal bases: Consent (you may withdraw at any time); Performance of a Contract; Legitimate Interests; Legal Obligations; and Vital Interests. For users in Canada, we may process information where consent is implied or where law permits without consent.
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may share data with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf under written contracts. These include: Google Sign-In (authentication); Google Cloud Platform, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions for Firebase, Cloud Storage for Firebase, Firebase Hosting (infrastructure); Firebase Crash Reporting (performance monitoring); Apple Pay (billing); Google Play Console (testing); RevenueCat (subscription management); Expo Push Notifications (notifications). We may also share in connection with business transfers or when you interact with public areas of the Service.
5. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
If you register using a social media account (e.g. Google), we receive certain profile information (name, email, profile picture). We use this information only as described in this Notice. We are not responsible for how the social media provider uses your information — please review their privacy policy.
6. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
Our servers are located in the United States. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, please be aware your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws. We implement the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and similar safeguards.
7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Notice, unless a longer period is required by law. We will not keep your personal information for longer than twelve (12) months past the start of an idle period on your account. When there is no ongoing legitimate business need to process it, we will delete or anonymise it.
8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 16 (our minimum age per Terms) and that users under 18 have parental/guardian awareness. 10. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access, rectify, erase, or port your personal data; restrict or object to processing; and not be subject to automated decision-making. To exercise these rights, email privacy@protora.app. To terminate your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account or email us.
11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track (DNT) feature. No uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.
12. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
If you are a US resident (California, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with applicable laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We have not sold any personal information in the preceding twelve months. To exercise your rights, email privacy@protora.app. California residents may also submit a complaint to the California Attorney General.
13. HEALTH AND FITNESS DISCLAIMER
Protora is designed to provide fitness tracking, training guidance, and performance analytics based on peer-reviewed scientific research. The information and features provided are for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise programme. By using Protora, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your training decisions and that Protora bears no liability for any injury or health issue arising from your use of the application.
14. RIGHTS OF USERS UNDER TURKISH PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW (KVKK)
In accordance with KVKK No. 6698, users resident in Turkey have the right to: (1) learn whether personal data is being processed; (2) request information if processed; (3) learn the purpose of processing; (4) know third parties to whom data has been transferred; (5) request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; (6) request deletion or destruction; (7) request notification of corrections to third parties; (8) object to results arising from analysis by automated systems; and (9) claim compensation for damages from unlawful processing. 15. SUBSCRIPTION AND IN-APP PURCHASES
Protora offers optional paid subscription plans (Pro and Elite) processed exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Protora does not collect or store payment information. For billing disputes or refund requests, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly.
16. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date. If we make material changes, we may notify you via in-app notice or email. We encourage you to review this Notice frequently.
